Main uses:
1. Golf club tape Feature:
Enhance friction: The rough surface provides good control and grip.
Protect the club: Wraps the clubhead to prevent ice blades or the ground from wearing and damaging the clubhead.
Personalization: The classic color is black, but now there are various colors (white, yellow, pink, blue, etc.) available for players to match their team colors or showcase their individuality.
Main uses:
Wrapping the clubhead (Blade Tape): This is the main application. Use the tape to completely wrap the hitting surface, the bottom of the club, and both sides of the clubhead, forming a protective layer and friction surface.
Wrapping the club handle (Butt End / Grip): Wrap the end of the club handle to form a "knob" (small bump), preventing the club from slipping and helping players sense their hand position without looking.
2. Anti-slip tape
This tape is thinner and similar to bandages or tennis racket hand tape. Feature:
Provide "feel": Thinner than fabric tape, it enables players to better feel the vibration and touch sensation of the puck on the stick head.
Reduce weight: More lightweight.
Wick sweat: Some high-quality anti-slip tapes have a sweat-wicking function, keeping the hands dry.
Main application: Almost exclusively used to wrap the stick handle, providing a comfortable, sensitive, and anti-slip grip. Many professional players like to wrap an additional layer of anti-slip tape outside the stick handle that was wrapped with fabric tape.
Usage method:
How to wrap the stick head:
1. Clean the stick head: Ensure the surface of the stick head is dry and free of dust.
2. Starting point: Begin from the heel of the stick head connection, leaving a small section of tape, and fix it at the bottom of the stick.
3. Wrapping: While pulling tight on the tape, wrap it in a spiral manner towards the toe (the tip of the stick). Each layer should overlap about 1/3 to 1/2 of the previous layer to ensure even and seamless coverage.
4. Finishing: After wrapping to the tip of the stick, tear off the tape and press firmly to ensure it is securely attached. Some people like to use a small strip of tape for "ringing" reinforcement at the tip of the stick.
How to wrap the stick handle (making "Knob"):
1. Starting point: Begin from the top of the stick handle, leaving a small section of tape, and wrap a short section to make a base.
2. Making bumps: Fold the tape in half, stick it together to form a "small ear", then stick this "ear" to the top of the stick, and start to spiral wrap downward. This will naturally form a raised bump at the top.
3. Wrapping the handle: Continue to spiral wrap downward for about 20-30 centimeters (depending on personal preference), forming the grip. During the wrapping, you can tighten the tape to make it thinner or loosen it to make it thicker.
